The List

1. The Microphone
Everybody knows that you need a microphone to record. The Company Blue Microphones make quality Mic’s at an affordable price. The recommended microphone is part of the snowball series which is a USB microphone that plugs right into your computer and you are ready to record.

Another microphone if you’re willing to spend a little more money is also part of the Blue series called the Yeti, which is a high performance USB Microphone that again, plugs right into your computer and you are ready to record.

2. The Recording Software

Not everyone has money for Pro Tools, Reason, Cubase or even Logic. On the bright side, there are many other (Cheaper) options.

If you are a Mac user, you already have a recording software in Garage Band, but if you are a PC user, you have to download one. Lucky for you, there are many recording softwares that are online for a grand price of FREE.

The best software you should probably consider is Audacity.
